Optimizing Supplier Performance and Spending

This Canadian company in the GTA had approximately 50 Suppliers that were repeatedly missing deadlines and were believed to be offering sub-par service.

The Problem:

Loop Analytics was brought on to identify what could be causing this systemic poor service from Suppliers and to fix it.

We found that post-contract execution, Suppliers were not managed in a controlled or efficient way and that Company Leadership lacked information about their Suppliers, especially whether their Suppliers were providing services of value.

The Solution:

Once we had discovered the key issues, and the root causes of those issues, our team began to work with the Company to improve Supplier performance in a systemic way.

We worked to develop a robust Supplier Categorization based on industry standards and used Subject-Matter-Expert insight, to help the Company pilot their first Supplier Performance Evaluations. This offered unprecedented insight into their Supplier’s quality of work, value-add, and delivery standards.

Finally, Loop Analytics supported the Company in the development of two new software tools to further automate their Supplier Performance Management work.
